I have an Incra router table fence and use these bit to create box and dovetail joints. They work very well with the Incra fence and make nice tight joints. I had tried other 1/2" shank bits but they did not work as well as this set.Freud needs to improve this product. The bits get five stars but the packaging gets zero stars. It is unacceptable to make such a great product but then commit errors in their packaging. As others have mentioned, the bits should be labeled by type in the box by Freud. They have very sharp cutting edges and with the tight fit in the box makes them difficult to remove them from the box. Use gloves or a cloth to protect your fingers. Finally, storage space is at a premium in my shop. The wood box is very large and not needed for product protection. Make the box smaller use less natural resources and improve the product. Freud engineers, when are you going to fix these glaring packaging errors? The FREUD name has long been hailed as THE ROUTER bit maker. While this kit is of the usual good Freud quality I was disappointed to see that not all were carbide. The major complaint, having noting to do with the bits themselves is the manner in which they are held in the box.The shelve tip just a bit, the bits are sharp and.... they are held to tightliy in there holders that it is virtually necessary to use some form of gripping device to pull them out.WHO wants to put pliers on a router bit??? NOT I, thus USE LEATHER GLOVES to pull the straight ones out and perhaps a string tightly wound around them?Just a bit of forethought on the Mfg. side would help the consumer.HGMI have owned many Freud/Diablo router bits and saw blades and this set maintains the same high standards. Any bit will cut sharp when new. But the Freud bits and blades last much longer than cheaper brands and as long as more expensive brands like Whiteside, Infinity, Eagle America, and Lee Valley. They also did not provide a complete set of bits to match the Incra Ultra/WonderFence like Freud does. It is nice to know I can do everything in the Reference Guide with the Freud package.Keep your bits and blades clean (I use Calgon/Simple Green) and you will get years of use from these tools. I have just cut over 1500 board feet with these bits and the dovetails/dattos are as perfect as the first. For anyone who has a Incra System Router table these are a must have. These bits will allow you to do all the projects in the Incra workbook. I have used Freud saw blades for years because of there quality and the superior cutting edge and these router bits definately live up to the Freud reputation. Cut after cut these bits do an excellent job and the finish cut requires no sanding. In addition the bits come in a very nice wooden box that clearly displays the bits. I'm here to tell you you will not be disappointed with this product.Great Product, Great Price.Freud tools are highest quality. I started with a less expensive set of router bits and the difference in cutting with the Freud bits is like night and day. They cut quickly and leave a surface that if it was exposed, would be ready for finishing. This set exactly matches the Incra templates.Frued!!!! That's all there is to say.As other reviews mentioned the bits are under sized and does not work with incra templates. I first tried the dovetail joints and realized that the way the incra system work would leave big gaps in both the thru and blind dovetail joints. That deceives the purpose of using a dovetail joint for it strength. Thoose gaps create a weak joint. I got another jig for dovetails and decided to use the incra for box joints. I made 2 boxes and both were so tight that it could not fit together. I measured the router bits and realized that they were under sized. I used a cheapo busy bee tornado bit and magically it worked. Very disappointing that the Freud bits are undersized and useless for the ingra jig. Don't throw your time and money away on this set. This bit set should be highlighted when purchasing the Incra LS Jig. The bits are a necessity when using the Incra. The bits are scary sharp and well put together. The issue is with the box they come in. The quality of the box they come in is appalling. The box contains two swivel arms in which the bits sit (my box was was different design from the photograph shown in Amazon). It arrived with one of the two arms split where the pivot screws had gone in badly and split the wood. I don't really care what the box looks like so I just patched it with another screw away from the split. The bigger issue is with the plastic retaining rings that keep the bits in place. They are so tight that I've cut myself twice trying to extract a bit from the holder. Eventually I will get around to building my own box to hold them; it seems wrong that I should have to.I use the bits with an Incra LS-TS.I consider myself to have decent grip strength, but there is not a hope in hell of my getting the bit our of its holder without pliers. Or back in for that matter. The box looks very slick, and the bits are gorgeous... but getting the bits in and out with this much struggle is ridiculous..Can't go wrong with freud router bits. This is a complimentary set that has done great service in my woodworking shop. Best to purchase in a set as price point is more favourable that procuring bits individually. It’s all in the cutThey work good
